Toronto, Canada, October 1st, 2021 – #Blueheart4diabetes officially launches today by The Diabetes App (TDA). TDA, a growing diabetes community, understands that starting the conversation about diabetes can be difficult. Therefore, #blueheart4diabetes is an awareness campaign that hopes to offer an easy icebreaker into the conversation in the weeks leading up to Diabetes Awareness Month (November).
The campaign offers a simple challenge – TDA urges its followers and community to post a photo of a blue heart on their hand and use the hashtag #blueheart4diabetes to begin the conversation about diabetes. The organization hopes that this photo challenge will offer a medium for diabetics to share their own experiences with diabetes and for supporters to show their support for the community and the chronic illness.
“Diabetes can be an incredibly isolating condition. TDA hopes that through the #blueheart4diabetes challenge we can not only bring awareness to the condition, but we can also bridge ties in our community and increase support for diabetes.”
